Nepu Matcha Bowl

The matchawan is an important part of the Japanese tea ceremony, and it also makes for a beautiful piece that will brighten up any kitchen. With colors reminiscent of a dense forest, the Nepu bowl is a favorite among anyone who appreciates fine ceramics. Deep green tones gently fade into lighter shades, reaching a pale rim around the edge of the bowl. First shaped in a mold and then finished by hand, the bowl takes on a gently irregular form.

It's made in Toki on the island of Honshu, in the Oroshi district renowned for firing traditional Shino ware, known for its distinctive technique and glazing. The wide base makes it easy to mix matcha with water or milk. After that, all that's left to do is enjoy the flavor and benefits of your matcha.
